I beleive getting started may be the hardest part about not only crossfit but working out in general. There are a few things that I think can help those trying to get into the game of crossfit.

1.) Visit crossfit.com. Check out the videos of the day and familiarize yourself with the site. Go over some workouts and watch the demo videos. Get pumped to get into something life changing. Its kinda a big deal.

2.) Ask your friends about crossfit, chances are one or two of them have sparked some interest over time as well.

3.) Get out there and do something. I would not recommend going straight from the couch to the squat platform. Go for a run and see how you feel the next day. Crossfit is that feeling of soreness times ten.

4.) Check out a local crossfit gym (a.k.a. "boxes.")They are every where now. If there is no crossfit affiliated gym near you, go to a "Globo Gym" and hear what they have to say. Its becoming common for garages to be turned into boxes.

5.) Think of food as fuel. It is a mentally that will push your physical fitness to the next level.
