Elementary and Middle School ProgramsSauveterre opened the doors to its programs for younger children in the 1980's, rising to meet the needs of empowered children and their parents. Class sizes are kept small, allowing each child plenty of invididual attention from their teachers. Most children in the elementary and middle school age groups are not assigned individual mentors, as per the way the mentorship program is run, but should a child appear to require special attention or care they will be assigned a mentor to take care of them. Most children whom attend Sauvterre Academy at this age live locally in the city of Sauveterre, but for those children who have come to learn from out of town or out of state the Academy provides safe and comfortable homes under the care of qualified childcare professionals. However, space is limited in these living environments, so the Academy can only accept a small amount of children in the age group every year. For this reason, our elementary and middle school programs are composed largely of students whom have already shown active use of their abilities and wish to be able to continue their education in an environment which is safe for them.
