When he was younger, he started out by selling candy and paper wrap to gain money for everyday expenses. Later on he went to study painting at School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Maryland Institute College of Art. During the 1980’s, He started to receive recognition for his work, which later lead to him opening up a “factory-like studio” that consisted of 30 assistants. For the first project of the semester, we’re focusing more heavily on the process rather than the product. I thought Jeff Koons, would have been a great example to use to explain that concept. He has spent so much time planning and building a team that would creat his sculptures.
In relation to the images that I have taken, we are both using banal objects. For my photos I have taken a closer look at objects and captured things that normally wouldn't have been seen if they were taken from a farther angle.
