I started to make more sketches to have a general idea of how I wnated Sez to look like. These are some of the sketches that I made for Sez and his possible enmies that he will face as he travel throughout the game. I couldnt possibly sketch out all the animations that Sez and his enemies so I looked up some sprites online that helped me draw the movements. (See Below) Some of the sprites seemed to take longer than usual because I wasn't confident/capable/ or I just didn't know how to draw the stance.

Summary of Sez's Sprites

At the top you can see a the final sets of sprites for Sez. It's a good thing I have a background in drawing so the sprites look like the actual movements. Too bad the character is only 50 x 100 px. If he was any larger I could have done more details on him such as a face? But Overall, I'm happy with the outcome of the sprites.

I created the animations in Photoshop and referred back to my sketches. I drew one of the movements at a time. Then in a separate layer I drew on top of it so that I could see how they would transition. More drawings equals a smoother animation, which is definitely what I was trying to go for. As I got the hang of making the sprites, I tried to experiment with the effects of the movements for see fourth line to the end.
