Very Brief History of the Letter C

The Proto-Canaanite letter "gaml" which represented a /g/ sound would be flipped, rotated and changed around until the Romans got their hands on it. They used C, K and Q for the /g/ and /k/ sounds. Thus this was when C got the /k/ sound we're familiar with. Later on to end confusion a stroke was added to C and this new letter was used for /g/ sounds and C for /k/, thus the birth of G.
