This is a website dedicated to exploring myths and legends. We have all heard the tales and seen the movies as both children and adults and I thought it would be nice to have a website that would allow users to look at a few myths and legends and learn a bit about them. Included are links to the sites that I find information as well as little blurbs from myself at the bottom of the page. The pictures are so that people can have a visual to put with the words on the page. This is not supposed to give all the information about a myth or legend, this is more of an introductory site so that people will be able to have a quick look and can go to the linked sites if they want more information.
The difference between a myth and a legend is:
A myth is more of a symbolic image or idea. It is something that could be used as an explanation. There is no time associated with it.
A legend is a story told as if it was a past event. It is sometimes an exaggeration of a historical event.
