This was my first time using Illustrator. In a nutshell, the project was to choose a portrait and recreate the image in Illustrator. As I began to create the image, I soon found myself varying the colors and it took on a comic effect. For the background of the after image, I took a pattern off of Google and did it in Illustrator as well. As one can see, the final image is quite different from the original, but it really gave me practice with the tools of Illustrator and it taught me that you can really change an image while still keeping the original idea in mind.
